Being an Entrepreneur...

(sneak peak on some branding elements, coming soon!)

(sneak peak on some branding elements, coming soon!)

is something that I never thought I would be.

Entrepreneur: a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.

I love stability. Who doesn't, right? To be able to confidently walk into your home knowing your bills are paid. To be able to feed yourself. To know you will be able to do all this and more in the many months to come.

I lost stability. I felt my foundation literally disappeared, and I realized my entire life depended on somebody else hiring me.

I had no other option than to start freelancing. I had a skill, multiple actually, and I knew if I could get hooked up with the right people, I could make money. I found out, that's called "Networking."

I've also recently been learning's not about making money. What?! I know. Probably the hardest realization I've had in the 5 months is that making money is really hard. You will never have enough.

The thing I hate most is waking up every day thinking this one thought:

"What can I create today that will make me money?"

So what does this all have to do with entrepreneurship? Take a look at the definition and you will find, "taking on great than normal financial risks in order to [operate a business]." Oh wow, what the heck have I been doing the last few months? Taking a HUGE risk financially, in order to start my own personal business. Wow. Funny how this fits perfectly.

And funny how I never thought this was something I can do, I am. Doing it. As best as I can.

It's not about making money. It's not even about yourself, really.
It's about doing what you love for other's who need what you do.
